If you ever wanted proof click-bait titles work look no further. Saying "why the falcon f7 is crap" got me 5k views, on the first page of google and an upset employee.
!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
They seriously need more press if an Oppo post can slowly creep up to the first page of google.
Its no blackbird story, but 10/10 would post again.
EDIT: How many authors are there actually on Oppo? I said "thousands" in a comment, but I have actually no idea.

If a post with only 5,000 views over a span of around nine months is one of the top posts on Google, the company has more issues that they should be worried about than one blog post.

Its not expressly from Falcon, but he said he could probably get me a test drive. So I'm assuming.

JohnnyRocket or whatever his name is:
Okay, so based on the content of your post; you think the Falcon F7 is ugly, and not worth the money. Why not change the title of your post to "Why I think the Falcon F7 is ugly and not worth the money"
To make a bold and inflammatory statement such as "Why the Falcon F7 is crap" is just inaccurate. The Falcon F7 is not crap. Crap is poop. The Falcon F7 is not poop.
It actually is an impressive machine that a lot of people have put a lot of time and hard work into. You might not like the way it looks. You may not like how it compares with the other cars that it's up against, why feel so bold as to call it crap.
I'm willing to bet that if someone offered you an F7 free and clear you'd take it. I'm also willing to bet that if someone offered you an actual piece of feces free and clear, you'd tell them to get lost.
Think about the things you post and the way you post them. Peoples livelihoods may be at risk.

Seriously though I chuckled reading this - " Crap is poop. The Falcon F7 is not poop."

Re: Number of approved oppo authors— I think the last time one of the mods mentioned it, it was something like over 2,500 or 2,600 authors and climbing.

I offered to steal your test drive if you didn't want it because I'm in the Detroit area lol
Oh and I truly think it's beautiful.
And if I was planning on a 2 seat rear/mid engined supercar I'd easily pick this over the Lambo, McLaren, or Ferrari.

I can see how a small company thats trying to make a name for themselves can feel this way. Its a legitimate concern.
If I was in the author's position, I could have worded it differently. But I couldn't have gotten more honest than this.

To be honest if an Oppo article generated more hits than a SpeedHunters feature article , then Falcon needs to do better advertising to get their name out to more magazines or any type of media.

True. I guess they're prioritizing their focus on making actual cars than a marketing division?
I'm not saying that's what they are doing or that its a valid excuse. I can't say that's how they should do business.
So they are inept in marketing. And a blog post happens to generate the most hits for their product. It is what it is.
They are just trying to address their concerns with the person who made exaggerated and unfounded claims - who is also drawing eyeballs to their product. Whats so wrong about that?

I think they're trying to fix the problem the wrong way. Rather than post a rant and arguing with a random person on the internet, how about inviting Milky to an actual test-drive? That could generate some publicity on Oppo and potentially replace that old article as Google first-page results.

but honestly, why does it come up as one of the top searches? I think somehow you satisfied the search algorithm more than other sites. If you look, the car has actually got lots of exposure including a piece on speedhunters and it was at the detroit auto show since 2012 with coverage by R&T, motorauthority, etc.
Anyway good job killing a cool car by accident lol

I'm not pissed.
I just wanted to try and convince you to change your "click bait" title. 5,000 views is pretty impressive.
